I've been taking Mapap PM 25-500mg Tablets for a few weeks now to help with minor aches and pains and sleeplessness. The acetaminophen part is great for the pain, but the diphenhydramine is making me extremely drowsy even the next day. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there better alternatives for pain and sleep? I've been researching and considering other medications and combos and just want to hear from others with similar experiences. Don't want to take anything too strong, just something reliable and safe. Thanks!

I've had some really bad reactions to diphenhydramine. I found that Melatonin works better for me as a sleep aid. It doesn't have any pain relief, so I take it with ibuprofen. I would try melatonin if I were you.

I have been taking this for about a month. It works. But I have to make sure I only take one. I fell asleep like a baby every night. If you do take it, make sure you take it late or it will harm your sleep schedule. No joke. I'm usually good at remembering but it got me good. I'm pretty sure it's not worth it because of the drowsiness and weird skin issues it can cause.

I had a bad reaction and had to stop using it. I switched to Tylenol PM and it's been much better. I'd recommend it. I have some allergy to diphenhydramine not sure what it is, but it made me feel weird. You should get checked out if your reaction lasts longer than a day or so. I'm sure it's not worth it..

I'm really sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this stuff. I've never had much luck with sleep aids and pain relievers combined. My doc suggested Tylenol and CBD oil for pain relief and melatonin for sleep. I'm usually good to go with that combo. I'd ask a doc about CBD oil.

I really don't want to take this stuff and this is a warning to everyone. My sister took it and had a really bad reaction, some kind of bad skin reaction. She probably had Stevens-Johnson syndrome or whatever but it was really bad. Something serious like that won't go away with home remedies, so take care of yourself.

Thanks for the advice all. I knew something wasn't right and I'm glad I'm not the only one. But I really appreciate the advice; I might try some melatonin or CBD.

I had the same issue with Mapap PM. I switched to Tylenol PM Extra Strength because it has more acetaminophen and less diphenhydramine. It works better for me. Give it a try.
