Anyone else have bad experiences with Aristocort HP 0.5% Cream?
I've been using Aristocort HP 0.5% Cream for about a month now to treat my psoriasis, and I've had some really bad side effects. I developed some pretty severe redness and itching and hair on my skin. I am concerned that I must be allergic to it, but I don't know if this is common. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'd love to know if there's a different cream I can try or if there are other ways to deal with these side effects?

I've used Aristocort for eczema and never had issues, but everyone’s skin is different. Maybe try applying a thinner layer or spacing out the applications.
It's possible you might be having an allergic reaction. I had a similar experience and I was advised to step out of the medication completely.
My dermatologist told me allergies to this medication are not common but possible. Maybe try a patch test next time.
Don't stress too much. Sometimes our bodies just need time to adjust to new medicines. Maybe give it a bit more time and if its not settled, then consult your doctor.
I had a similar reaction to Aristocort. It took me a while to realize I was allergic. I ended up switching to a different corticosteroid cream and it’s been much better.
Are you using it on your face? I had a similar reaction, and my doctor told me to avoid applying it to sensitive areas like the face or groin to avoid irritation.
I’ve had great success with Aristocort for my psoriasis. Maybe try a different brand or a different strength? Do you use it on your face?
Check if you're washing it off properly. Sometimes residue can cause irritation and other unexpected side effects.
