Anyone else have issues with Anusol-HC Suppositories causing severe burning?
I was prescribed Anusol-HC Suppositories for hemorrhoids and the burning sensation is almost unbearable. Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried adjusting my diet, increased hydration, and fiber — nothing seems to help. I’m on day 5 and I'm starting to think it's not worth it. I've read the side effects and this doesn't seem to be one of them, but it is unbearable. I’m wondering if I should talk to my doctor about trying something else or if I should just push through it. Any advice?

I read that some people have allergic reactions to the ingredients in Anusol-HC. If you’re still having issues, get checked for allergies.
Sleep with a pillow under your bottom. It really helped me a lot. Good luck.
I just want to get through the discomfort and get back to normal, and this thing made me worse. What a nightmare.
I had a similar issue with another steroid suppository. Might be worth trying a different brand.
I was so relieved when my doctor switched me to Preparation H wipes. No burning, and it worked just as well. Worth a shot.
