Anyone else started taking Fanapt 6mg Tablets for schizophrenia? How's it going?
I recently started taking Fanapt 6mg Tablets for schizophrenia, and I've been trying to stick to the prescribed dosage (twice a day, starting with a low dose). The medication is supposed to help balance certain natural chemicals in the brain, but I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication. I've been experiencing some drowsiness and weight gain, which I guess are common side effects, but I want to know if anyone else has had similar experiences. Also, any tips on managing these side effects would be appreciated!

I wish more people talked about this. Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s always good to know we’re not alone in this journey.
That’s really helpful to know. I’ve been feeling like I might have to switch medications because of the side effects, but it's good to hear that it might get better with time.
I took Fanapt for a while, but I had to switch because of some really bad reactions. Just be careful and listen to your body. If something feels seriously wrong, don't hesitate to reach out to your doctor.
If you’re worried about drowsiness, maybe try taking your doses at bedtime? My psychiatrist recommended that, and it worked for me.
