I've been using Advair HFA 115/21mcg for a few months now, and while it's helped with my asthma symptoms, I've been dealing with some pretty annoying side effects. I've got a constant sore throat and occasional headaches. I know side effects can vary, so I'm curious to hear if anyone else has experienced similar issues or if there are any tips to mitigate them. Also, has anyone had trouble getting their insurance to cover this specific inhaler? It's been a bit of a hassle for me.

My doctor said that while Advair works well for asthma, it's not meant for sudden breathing problems. Always have a rescue inhaler on hand just in case.

Have you tried gargling with salt water after using the inhaler? It helps with the throat irritation for me. Also, make sure you're rinsing your mouth out afterwards to avoid any fungal infections.

I wish my insurance covered Advair. I had to pay out of pocket for the first month and it was a killer. Now I'm on a different plan and it covers it, but the copay is still pretty high.

I had a bad reaction to Advair. I ended up with a persistent cough and sore throat. My doctor switched me to something else and I'm doing much better now.
