I was recently prescribed Glipizide ER 10mg Tablets to manage my Type 2 diabetes. I've been taking it for a few weeks now, but I'm experiencing some side effects that are concerning me. I've had a couple of episodes of dizziness and diarrhea, which have been quite uncomfortable. Additionally, I've felt rather nervous and excitable at times, which is not like me. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues and how they managed them. I also want to know if anyone can share their experiences with this medication in general – has it been effective for you, and what kind of side effects have you encountered? My doctor mentioned that these could be common side effects, but I'm still a bit worried. I've been monitoring my blood sugar levels closely, but I'm not sure if I should be doing anything differently. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! I am also wondering if the extended-release formulation makes a significant difference in managing blood sugar levels throughout the day.

Don’t forget to monitor your blood sugar levels regularly. That way, you can catch any issues early and adjust your medication or diet accordingly. I’ve found that keeping a food diary helped me understand how different foods affected my blood sugar levels when I was on this drug.

Did you try taking it at night instead of in the morning? I found that it helped with the jitters and gave me better control over my blood sugar throughout the day. It might be worth a try if it helps you.

Sounds like you're having a tough time. Have you talked to your doctor about adjusting the dose or trying a different medication? It's important to find something that works for you without causing too many issues.

I take Glipizide ER and have noticed that it’s helpful to snack frequently throughout the day to avoid those dips in blood sugar. That being said, it's important to choose healthy snacks to avoid spikes. I have a feeling that the extended release is helping me more than ever.

I've had a rough time with this medication and switched to something else. I've had issues with weight gain and it really affected my energy to do the things I used to. I think it's important to talk to your doctor about any changes you've noticed in your body, and see what they have to say.

I felt anxious and a little jittery when I first started, but I got the all clear from the doctor. It evened out after a few weeks. Make sure to talk to your doctor if it gets worse.

I use oral Glucose tablets when I feel low but this medication does have an extended release, so it's pretty practical. I've found that it's a great way to manage my blood sugar levels throughout the day with the extended release tablet and to make sure I'm not experiencing any of the more serious side effects.

I had similar side effects when I started. It helped to take the medication with food and not to skip meals so your body can get used to it. I initially thought it would be an extended release but after a while of having the same symptoms I realized I didn't eat anything. My doctor told me it was probably normal at first and to keep in close communication with him. If your body is going over the edge, take it to your doctor and let them know

I've been on Glipizide ER for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my blood sugar control. I didn't experience any major side effects, but I did have some dizziness and diarrhea initially. It went away after a few weeks. Make sure to take it with food and stay hydrated!
