Hi everyone, I was recently diagnosed with diabetes insipidus. My doctor prescribed DDAVP 0.2mg tablets to help manage my symptoms. I've read up on the possible side effects and I'm a bit concerned. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any tips you might have for managing it. I've heard that it can cause some serious side effects, so I'm also curious about how people monitor for these and what to do. As a swimmer I'm curious about how it effects performance in sports. Any insights are appreciated!

Yes, my body is super sensitive. I take the tablets at night. I even got a wearable device to track hydration levels. I've noticed that my performance in sports has improved since I started taking DDAVP. But be careful, overhydration is just as dangerous as dehydration.

I was on DDAVP for a while but had to switch due to some unpleasant side effects. The main one was that I woke up feeling like I had a hangover every morning, and it made me super thirsty. I think it was the sodium issue, but you should consult with your doctor. It was worth a shot for a while but if you feel uncomfortable you should consider alternatives.

I've been monitoring my sodium levels regularly and that helps. My doctor recommended drinking plenty of water. I recommend taking a break from the tablets every few months. I have heard from others that this can help.

I was worried about side effects at first, but so far, so good. I have been feeling a bit dizzy the past few weeks, but my doctor said it's normal. Be careful with the side effects. It’s worth the tradeoff for me personally.

I've been on DDAVP for a few years now. It's been a game-changer for me. Just make sure to stay hydrated and monitor your sodium levels regularly. I use a wearable device to track my hydration. I did notice a few side effects initially, but they subsided after a while. Definitely worth it for the relief from constant thirst and frequent urination. Always consult your doctor if you experience anything unusual.

DDAVP really helped me control my urine output, but it did mess with my sleep patterns. It even made me feel more tired during the day. I’d recommend keeping track of your sleep-avoidance.

I've never experienced any side effects from DDAVP. I take it at night before bed, and it's worked wonders for reducing my bedwetting. Fall was rough for me. I never even know I was doing it. I think everyone has different reactions to medication but it seems to be pretty effective for most people.

I've had no issues with DDAVP and I've been on it for 6 months now. It's made a huge difference in my quality of life. I haven't noticed any issues with my performance.

Be careful with the side effects. I developed a rash and itching after a few days so I had to stop taking it. I can’t handle it.
