I was recently prescribed Glyburide/Metformin 1.25/250mg to help manage my type 2 diabetes. The doctor explained that Glyburide helps my body release more insulin, while Metformin helps my body use insulin better and reduces the amount of sugar my liver makes. I've been experiencing some stomach issues and occasional dizziness. I'm curious to hear about other people's experiences with this medication. Are these side effects common? How long did it take for them to subside? Any tips for managing the side effects would be greatly appreciated!

I switched to a different medication because the side effects were too much for me. But I did have some success with it. I would've stuck with it if it hadn't been for the constant dizziness and tiredness.

Be careful with this one. I switched to a different medication because I started getting really tired and weak. It turned out to be lactic acidosis, which can be serious. Don’t ignore symptoms and stay in contact with your doctor!

Me too! I've experienced some dizziness, but it's usually manageable. If it gets bad, drink some juice to bring up your blood sugar levels. I'm glad to hear that my stomach issues might go away soon!

I just started this medication and I’ve been having some issues with diarrhea. I've been keeping a food journal to see if there's anything specific that's causing it. Has anyone else tried this?

Don’t forget to check your blood sugar levels regularly. It’s the best way to stay on top of any issues that might come up. And if you notice any changes in your vision, that’s a big red flag to call your doctor immediately.

It’s all about finding the right balance. If you're really struggling, talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or switching to a different medication. I've had good luck with that, personally.

I had the same issues when I started taking it. I found that taking the pills with food really helped with the stomach problems. Also, drinking plenty of water throughout the day made a big difference. Give it a few weeks; it might take some time for your body to adjust.
