I was prescribed Piroxicam 10mg Capsules for my arthritis, and while it helps with the pain, I'm worried about the side effects. The leaflet lists a ton of serious ones, and I'm not sure what to expect. Has anyone else taken this and had any issues? Or maybe it's fine for most people? I'd love to hear some real-world experiences and advice. I was on naproxen before, but it wasn't working well, hence the switch.

I was on this for a while and I just switched to Celecoxib as my doctor recommended. I was having issues with dehydration and a weird change in urine color

My mom was on this for a while and she had all sorts of issues with it. She had issues with peeling skin and would go for regular checkups. It was a nightmare.

I was on this for a while, but I think I'm going to switch to a different NSAID. My joints are fine but I've been getting headaches and I don't like it

I had a terrible reaction to it. Within a week I had issues with severe dizziness and blurred vision. I went to the ER and they did some blood tests. My blood pressure was sky high and I was hospitalized for a few days. Not worth it for me, unfortunately. I'm on a different NSAID now and it's been fine.

I've been on Piroxicam off and on for years. It works well for my rheumatoid arthritis, but I always get a bit of gas and sometimes diarrhea. I just make sure to stay hydrated and it's manageable. I've never had any serious side effects, but I do keep an eye out for them. I've read that it's important to take it with food and not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it.

I've never had any side effects from Piroxicam. It's been a lifesaver for my arthritis pain. My doctor said it's generally well tolerated, but I still keep an eye out for any changes. Always good to be cautious, though!
