I was prescribed Loryna 3mg/0.02mg Tablets 28s for birth control and acne clearance, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had experience with them. I know it's a combination pill with ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone. I've heard it can also help with severe PMDD, but I'm curious about the side effects and overall effectiveness. I've read about some of the more serious side effects, like blood clots and liver problems, so I'm a bit nervous. Have any of you dealt with these issues, or have they been mostly mild? I'd love to hear about your experiences!

I had a friend on this pill who ended up having issues with blood clots. She switched to a different kind of birth control immediately. Definitely something to be aware of and to talk to a doctor about.

I'm on week one and so far it's been a bit tough. The headaches are annoying but maybe I can deal with that.

I've been on this pill for a couple of years and I think my experience has been mostly positive. It has cleared my acne and has made my periods much more manageable. The side effects I experienced were mild and didn't really bother me. Just a little weight gain and some headaches, but nothing too bad.

I started Loryna, and I've noticed some mood swings, headaches, and breast tenderness. I'm not sure if it's worth the trade-off. I've been thinking about switching to a different birth control method. Has anyone else experienced these side effects, and what did you do about them?

Was on Yasmin after Loryna as well. Loryna was a lot more gentle on me. I've noticed my blood pressure was a lot more stable. It did kick my acne treatment into overdrive, but I've had to switch brands a few times.

I was on Loryna for about a year and it worked wonders for my PMDD. The mood swings and irritability were much more manageable. However, I did gain some weight, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I think it was worth it for the PMDD relief, but if you're concerned about weight gain, it might be something to watch out for.

Has anyone tried it for acne and found it to be particularly effective? I'm considering switching to Loryna just for that reason. If it works well for acne, I'm pretty sure I'd want to stick with it.

I switched from Yasmin to Loryna and the difference for my PMDD symptoms is actually night and day. I’d recommend it, but only if your doctor is aware of everything you’re taking. Make sure to divulge the black market ibuprofen usage too.

I don't know, I feel like people forget how dangerous pills can be. I mean, a lot of people. As far as how it treats acne, I've heard it works okay. But can someone show me how to swim before I'm thrown in the deep end?

I've been on Loryna for a few months and it's been great for my skin. I went from severe acne to barely anything. However, I did experience some spotting between periods at first, but that seems to have stopped.
