Tussin worked for me when I had a bad chest infection. I felt relieved within a few hours. But I do think it reacts badly when taken together with other cold medicines, so I only used that.
I've used Tussin Cough Chest Liquid a few times and found it to be quite effective. It really helped loosen the mucus and made it easier to cough up. I didn't experience any severe side effects, just a bit of drowsiness, which was manageable. Would recommend!
Just a heads-up, some people can be allergic to the dye in the liquid. I know someone who had a bad reaction to it. Always check the ingredients list if you have known allergies.
This stuff is a lifesaver! I had a horrible cough last winter and Tussin worked wonders. I did get a bit of an itchy rash, but it went away after I stopped taking it. Definitely worth a shot if you're struggling with chest congestion.
I've found that mixing Tussin with hot tea helps soothe my throat even more. Just be careful not to overdo it—too much and you might feel too drowsy to function.
