I was recently prescribed Brinzolamide 1% Ophthalmic Suspension for glaucoma. It's an eye drop used to lower high pressure inside the eye by reducing the amount of fluid produced. I'm curious about other people's experiences! Do you have any advice on managing the bad taste it can leave in your mouth? It also helped me notice some symptoms that seem to be associated with sulfa drug allergies. I guess I need to make sure I don't have sulfa allergies, but brushing my teeth helped with the bad taste.

I didn't experience any liver problems, but they are possible. If you notice dark urine or yellow eyes, get help immediately.

My eye doctor specifically warned me about the potential for severe allergic reactions. I wasn't scared, but I would be careful. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, don't wait—go to the ER. Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome) are my biggest concern and the potential side effects.

I switched to Brinzolamide after my previous medication caused bad side effects for me. I think it's been working well so far, but I do notice blurred vision sometimes. Anyone else deal with that?

I noticed a lot of these side effects were also associated with my other medications.

I've had bad experiences with other sulfa drugs, so I was hesitant to try Brinzolamide. But so far, so good. I had to do a bit of research about it but I am glad I did. I am also keeping my doctor informed about my experiences. Always be cautious and know your risks.

It's great that it's working for you, but please be careful and keep an eye on your vision.

I am aware that this medication can cause you to have a bad taste in your mouth. It is pretty annoying but if this is the worst side effect I get from the medicine, I will put up with it.
