I was recently prescribed Hydrocortisone 100mg Enema 60ml for ulcerative colitis and I'm feeling a bit skeptical about using it. The nurse went over the possible side effects, but I'm still unsure. I want to know if anyone has had success with this treatment? I'm really struggling to manage my symptoms and any tips or advice would be helpful. Also, how did you find the experience in terms of discomfort or ease of use? Thanks in advance!

I've been on them for months. They helped a lot at first, but now I'm noticing some side effects. My doctor said it might be a good time to taper off and try something else. My experience is that it's great for immediate relief but long-term use can be tricky because of side effects.

I just started taking these enemas myself. I've only done them a few times, but they seem to be working. I read the literature and it made me nervous, but I've found them pretty easy to use. I had some minor irritance at the site of application, but that went away.

I used this a few years back and it honestly helped a lot. The side effects weren't too bad, and it was pretty easy to use once I got the hang of it.

Seriously, make sure you get the dosage correct. I missed it once and I had some crazy joint and bone pain. I honestly thought it was the side effects and I had to change my whole routine. Took me a while to figure out what happened.
