I've been dealing with some pretty stubborn muscle aches and joint pain, and I've been considering trying Asperflex Lidocaine 4% Cream. I've heard it can help numb the areas and provide some relief, but I'm a bit hesitant because of the potential side effects. Has anyone used this before? How effective was it for you, and did you experience any issues? I'm particularly worried about the serious side effects, like the allergic reactions and metabolic acidosis, which some of the FAQs mention. Any advice from people who have tried it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It can be very effective, but the risk of side effects is real. I would advise anyone to read the package instructions thoroughly and talk to a doctor before using it. Always err on the side of caution with medications.

Why are there so many scary side effects on this stuff? I wouldn’t risk it for some minor aches.

I've used it for my arthritis and it worked wonders. Just be careful not to apply too much at once.

I used it for a while and it was okay, but I found the rectal version to be more effective for hemorrhoid pain. The cream worked, but it was a bit of a pain to use and the results didn't last as long as I'd like. I also noticed some irritation at the site of application, which was a bit concerning. I'm going to stick to other remedies from now on, but I can see how it might work for some people.

I don't get how people can risk these dangerous side effects. It's just not worth it. Consult a doctor or try something safer.

I've seen some people swear by it and others who had pretty bad reactions. It seems to be hit or miss. Might be worth a try if you're desperate, just be really careful.
