I'm considering this medication for a family member who's experiencing severe agitation. It's been prescribed to help manage their symptoms, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone here had experience with Chlorpromazine? What was it like? How did you manage the side effects? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had a weird reaction with my vision, everything got blurry and dark. It scared me a lot, so I stopped taking it. Maybe your family member will be fine, but keep an eye on that one

I had some pretty bad sleep disturbances when I was on this. Make sure to monitor that closely. It might be worth it though if it helps with the agitation.

I had an allergic reaction. My throat felt like it was closing up, and I couldn't breathe. It was horrifying. I had to go to the ER. Please be careful!!

I've been on Chlorpromazine for a while now, and it's helped a lot with my agitation. The side effects can be tough, but my doctor adjusted the dose, and it got better. Just make sure to stay in touch with the doctor.
