I was recently prescribed D2.5w/nacl 0.45% Inj, 1000ml, which is an intravenous (IV) fluid solution. It's commonly used to help with hydration and electrolyte replacement when you can't drink enough fluids. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this. What was your experience like? Did you have any side effects? How long were you on it?

I had this for a few days after surgery. It helped a lot with hydration, but I did have some irritation at the injection site. Nothing too bad, though.

Did anyone else have seizures or dizziness? I had it for dehydration, and I got so dizzy I couldn't stand up. Scared the hell out of me.

Just a heads up, if you experience any abnormal heartbeat or severe dizziness, go to the ER. Don't mess around with fluid and electrolyte problems.

I had this IV fluid for a week and felt way better within a couple of days. Definitely worth dealing with the minor side effects to get back to normal.

It's important to monitor for signs of skin infection at the IV site. If you notice any redness, swelling, or oozing, contact your healthcare provider immediately. Trust me, I had to go back to the ER for this and it's not fun.

I had to take this after a surgery. It's a bit scary seeing the IV, but it really helped a lot. I think it's one of those necessary evils you just have to deal with.

I was on it for a few days after a kidney stone. It was a relief to finally hydrate. If you feel any pain at the injection site, it could be blood clots. Monitor your site carefully.
