I've recently been prescribed Ferrous Sulfate 325mg (5gr) Tabs to treat my iron-deficiency anemia. I've heard it can be tough on the stomach, so I'm a bit concerned about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? Any tips or tricks to make it easier to manage? I'm really just hoping it will do the job for me. I want to know how it has worked for others.

I've been on Ferrous Sulfate for about 6 months now. It did wonders for my iron levels. I tried taking it right before bed and that helped with the upset stomach. It still took a while to get used to, but it was worth it.

I had to stop taking it because it gave me really bad stomach cramps. I think it's a great medication, but if you don't have a high pain tolerance it could be rough. Try taking it with a meal and see what happens.

I had no problems with stomach upset, but I felt like it was hard to remember to take with food. The doctor said it would work best with food, so it was a bit of a hassle. Maybe you’d be able to get used to it? I might try it again.

I was on it for a while and had no issues at all. It was also pretty cheap and easy to get at the pharmacy. I’ve heard that some people have to take it with food, but you can try just mixing it with water if you want to save yourself some calories.

I had a bad time with this one! It gave me terrible nausea and a sore stomach. I ended up having to stop taking it because of the symptoms. It worked well to fix my anemia, but I couldn’t handle the side effects.

I took it for a while and the green stool was a bit alarming at first. It took some getting used to, but it wasn’t all that bad. I didn’t even experience constipation or stomach pain.

It did the job! I finished the course and my iron levels are now normal. It wasn’t the easiest to deal with, but it was worth it after having to deal with anemia for so long. It really wasn’t so bad once I got used to it.

I was on Ferrous Sulfate for a while, and it definitely caused some constipation and stomach upset for me. I had to take it with food and drink plenty of water, and it helped a bit. I didn’t experience any of the more severe side effects though.
