I've been dealing with a stubborn case of athlete's foot for a while now. My dermatologist prescribed Loprox Topical Susp 60ml, which contains ciclopirox. It's supposed to stop the growth of the fungus causing the infection. I've started using it, but I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. How effective was it for you? Did you experience any side effects, like skin irritation or allergic reactions? Also, how long did it take to see improvements? Any tips or advice would be much appreciated!

I used Loprox for jock itch and it worked wonders. I saw improvements within a week, but I had to use it for about three weeks to completely clear it up. I did experience some minor irritation at the application site, but nothing too bad. Just make sure to follow the instructions and keep the area clean.

I had no idea this stuff existed. How does it compare to other antifungal creams?

I ended up having to switch to something else because the Loprox made my feet burn. It was like a sunburn where the cream was. It was so bad I had to stop but my doc suggested something else and I got better so it was just a matter of finding the right thing.

I've had good results with it but always make sure to apply it right after showering. It helps to keep everything clean and the chances of side effects goes down.

I was put on this for a yeast infection and it was awful. My skin was peeling and it was so painful. I can't recommend it for that. It might just be bad for me.
