I have an upcoming CT scan and my doctor prescribed Omnipaque 300mg/ml Inj, 10ml. I've read about the possible side effects, but I'm curious to hear from others who have had this dye injected. Did you experience any side effects? How long did they last? How was the injection process? Any tips for someone going through this for the first time?

Did anyone else feel like they had to pee right after the injection? I didn't know what was going on until the nurse explained it was a common reaction.

I've had Omnipaque for several CT scans and never had any issues. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. Just relax and let the professionals do their job.

I had Omnipaque for an MRI and I had tingling sensations. They told me it was normal, but it was still pretty strange. The worst part was the warm sensation that spread through my body. I was worried at first, but the nurse said it was just the dye.

I found that the injection site was a bit sore for a day or two after the scan. Just apply some ice if it gets too tender. I didn't have any serious side effects, though, so I got lucky. Just make sure to tell the doctor if you feel anything weird. Better to be safe.

I've had Omnipaque a few times for CT scans. The injection itself was quick and didn't hurt much. I did feel a bit warm and had a strange taste in my mouth, but that passed quickly.

I'm a radiology technician, and I've seen a range of reactions to Omnipaque. Most people are fine, but a few have had allergic reactions. If you start feeling itchy or have trouble breathing, let the staff know right away. They can handle it, but it's important to speak up. Also, stay hydrated before and after the scan to help flush the dye out of your system faster.

I've had it twice and both times I felt a bit nauseous afterwards. It wasn't too bad, just a bit uncomfortable. I didn't have any of the severe side effects, though. Hope you don't get any unpleasant surprises!

I had Omnipaque for a CT scan of my abdomen. I felt a bit of bloating and stomach pain afterwards, but it went away after a few hours. I just drank lots of water and rested.

I had a really bad experience with Omnipaque. I developed toxic epidermal necrolysis, which was terrifying. It started with a red rash and quickly progressed to severe skin peeling. My immune system tried to attack my skin to the point where I ended up in the hospital. My advice: if you notice anything like this, get to a doctor ASAP. It's rare, but it happens. Always better to be safe. The doctor was able to get help to me in time but it was a close call.

I had a bad reaction to Omnipaque. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I ended up in the ER. If you have a history of allergies, make sure to tell your doctor. It's scary stuff.
