I've recently been prescribed Phytonadione 10mg/ml Emul Inj, 1ml to reverse the effects of warfarin. Has anyone else had experience with this? I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. I've read that it can cause severe allergic reactions and other serious symptoms. How common are these side effects really? Also, does anyone know if there are any long-term effects from using this medication? I'm trying to gather as much information as possible before my first dose. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Be very careful with this stuff. My grandmother was on warfarin and needed Phytonadione for a bleed. She had a really bad reaction—flushing, sweating, and she felt like she couldn't breathe. They had to stop the infusion and give her something else. She ended up being in the hospital for a few days.

Wait, don't they use this stuff to help babies with bleeding issues at birthe? Shouldn't be a big deal if you're in a medical setting. Good luck.

Always ask your doctor about any questions or concerns. They can provide you with the most accurate information tailored to your specific situation. As for the long-term effects, I haven't heard of any, but I'm sure your doctor can give you more insight.

It's always scary to think about serious side effects, but they are rare. Just make sure you're in a medical setting when you get the injection. Every time I've given this to a patient, they've had no issues.

My mom was on warfarin and needed Phytonadione once. She had no side effects at all. I remember being so nervous, but she was fine! Good luck, OP. Hope you feel better soon!

I got a shot of this in the ER. If this stuff doesn't work, what are your options? Ask your doctor if there are alternatives.

I know it's scary to think about serious side effects, but the chances are pretty low. If you're monitored properly, you should be fine. But yes, be on the lookout for any signs of an allergic reaction.

This injection can be a lifesaver, but it does have some serious potential side effects. Shortness of breath, chest pain, and fast heartbeat, though rare, need immediate attention. Make sure you're in a medical setting when you get it.

I had to take this once when I was on warfarin and needed emergency surgery. It worked quickly but I experienced some flushing and dizziness. Nothing too bad, though. Just make sure you're monitored by a doctor when you get it.
