I've just been prescribed Roflumilast 250mcg Tabs for my severe COPD, now I keep hearing different things. I was prescribed this to reduce the frequency of flare-ups and to improve my lung function, but I have concerns about possible side effects, especially the more urgent ones. The medication works by reducing inflammation in the lungs, which is great, but I'm worried about the potential serious reactions like an allergic response or even suicidal thoughts. I was also wondering how this compares to inhaled medications. I've used inhaled medications in the past, but I was dealing with sudden breathing problems. I have no experience with roof and I want to avoid adding another daily pill to my regimen if it's not going to work. I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with this medication, or any tips on managing COPD symptoms. So, has anyone taken this medication and can share their experience?

There is some risk, like with any medication. I personally think it's worth any side effects for the help it can give though. Talk to your doctor about any concerns you have.

This medication has improved my quality of life. Before, I felt like I was constantly at risk of a flare-up, and I dreaded how much it impacted my sleep. For some reason, I think my reaction to inhaled medications was stronger.

I've had a really positive experience with Roflumilast so far. As for side effects, I've only had a few headaches and some trouble sleeping but really it's only insomnia. I've started trying to take it earlier than I was prescribed so that I can adjust to taking it. I've been sleeping better ever since. It's definitely worth considering if you're struggling with frequent exacerbations and value convenience. It's worth the risk based on how much it has helped.

I've been on Roflumilast for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for my COPD. No more frequent exacerbations, and my lung function has improved significantly. As for side effects, I've had a few headaches and some trouble sleeping, but nothing major. It's definitely worth a shot if your doctor recommends it. Plus, it's easier to take than carrying around multiple inhalers.
