I've been prescribed Sod Sulfa/sulfur 9.8-4.8% Lot 57gm for my acne and seborrheic dermatitis. The doctor said the sulfur helps dry out the skin and the sulfacetamide kills bacteria. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone else used this lotion? How did it work for you? Were there any side effects I should be particularly worried about?

Be careful with this stuff. I had a weird rash that I'm pretty sure was from the lotion.

I had a bad reaction to a sulfa drug before, so I was really nervous. Definitely worth asking your doctor about your medical history before starting.

I used this lotion for a few weeks and it really helped clear up my acne. Just be prepared for some dryness. I also used a good moisturizer to combat that.

I had to stop using it because it caused severe skin irritation and made my acne worse. It is probably worth it for some, but not everyone. As a result, I am switching to a different medication.
