I was recently prescribed Avapro 150mg Tablets for high blood pressure and I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. Has anyone had a significant improvement in their blood pressure? I'm also concerned about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones like kidney problems and high potassium levels. I want to make sure I am monitoring myself correctly. How often should I check my blood pressure and potassium levels, and what signs should I look out for that might indicate a problem? Also, has anyone had issues with insurance coverage for this medication? I'm trying to understand if there are any generics or alternatives that might be more affordable.

I'm thinking about switching to lisinopril but I'm worried about the cost. Anyone know if there are any good generics for Avapro?

I feel like the dizziness is a bit too much so I am not sure if I will continue to take Avapro. Anyone have any other recommendations for blood pressure meds that might not have this side effect?

I've been on Avapro for about 6 months now and my blood pressure has decreased significantly. Only side effect I've experienced is some dizziness, but nothing too bad. My doctor advised me to monitor my blood pressure regularly and I use a home monitor for that.

I've had a similar experience with my blood pressure but I've also experienced some kidney issues. I had a doctor's appointment today and wanted to mention the blood in urine and sudden weight gain and was told this can be a side effect of Avapro. You should definitely contact your doctor immediately to ensure that you don't have any kidney issues.

My doctor suggested monitoring my blood pressure daily for the first few weeks. Once it stabilized, I was able to cut down to a few times a week. I also keep a log to show my doctor. It's helped a lot with the anxiety about side effects.

I have type 2 diabetes and Avapro has helped protect my kidneys. It's a game changer for me and my blood pressure management. But it's worth having a conversation with your doctor about Avapro versus other ARBs.

I had a horrible reaction to Avapro. Swelling in my face and throat, had to go to the ER. Definitely listen to your body and stop taking it if you feel anything weird.

I've been on Avapro for a few years and it's worked well for me. Make sure to stay hydrated and avoid high-sodium foods to help with the dizziness. Also, keep an eye on your potassium intake.
