I've recently been diagnosed with cystinuria and my doctor prescribed Tiopronin 300mg DR Tablets. I've read about the potential side effects, which are a bit concerning, especially the serious ones. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with this medication? How has it worked for you? Have you encountered any side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm curious to know about the long-term effects as well. Has anyone had any issues with kidney function or other complications after prolonged use?

I've been on Tiopronin for about a year now, and it's been a lifesaver. No more kidney stones, but I did have some gastrointestinal issues at first. The doctor adjusted my dose, and that seemed to help a lot. Just make sure you stay hydrated and monitor your urine output regularly.

I feel tired all the time. I talk with my doc now to change the medications or symptoms to watch for.

Just started Tiopronin last month, and so far, so good. No side effects yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My doctor warned me about the serious side effects, so I'm definitely paying close attention to any changes in my body.

It's a tough medication to manage. I've been on it for years and have had to deal with some serious side effects. But the alternative - constant kidney stones - is worse. Just make sure you stay in close contact with your doctor and report any issues immediately.

I've been on it for a few years. I've had a change in taste, and I've also felt more tired than usual. But nothing horrible and definitely worth it to avoid kidney stones. I've also found that getting enough sleep is important.

Really helps, but it's expensive. I'm hoping to find some coupons soon. Your insurance company might have some help.

My experience has been positive overall. I had some diarrhea and stomach pain initially, but it went away after a few weeks. I've been stone-free for over two years now, so I'm definitely happy with the results.
