I was recently prescribed Metoprolol HCT 100/25mg for high blood pressure. I've heard that it's a combination of a beta-blocker and a diuretic, which makes sense given my symptoms. However, I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the more serious ones. Has anyone else had experience with this med? How are you finding it so far? I'd love to hear your experiences!

I started feeling more dizzy and a bit sleepy the first week. But I'm ok now. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water to avoid electrolyte imbalances. My doctor said it helps a lot.

I had no idea about the risk of depression until I started taking it. It was intense.

Be careful with the sun exposure. I didn't realize the skin cancer risk until later, used a good SPF now

I had a bad reaction to the metoprolol part and my doctor switched me to something else. It was a bit annoying but I feel better on the new meds. I could tell a big difference in my blood pressure, but it seemed to be worsening other things.

I forgot that this was a combo pill and got confused when my doctor switched it up. The separate pills were way easier to work with, but I think I'm getting used to it.
