I was recently prescribed Subvenite Strt Kit Blue 25mg Tab (Lamotrigine) to help manage my bipolar disorder. I've heard it can be helpful, but I'm also worried about some of the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else taken this and how was your experience? I'm particularly interested in hearing about side effects, if they were severe, if they went away, and any tips and tricks for managing them. Also, I'd love to hear how effective it was for you - was it a game changer? Also, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for starting out? Does it take a while to build up? And finally, anyone used this for epilepsy and want to chime in?

I've got a follow-up appointment with my doctor this week and I'm actually considering trying Lamotrigine. I just wish there were more information on the more rare side effects - I just want to be really prepared, you know?

Yes, I’ve been on it for over a year. It really helps stabilize my moods, but starting out was rough. I remember feeling pretty drowsy and dizzy for the first few weeks. But honestly, it was worth it. Just give it some time and be patient.

Drinking while on Lamotrigine is generally a bad idea, especially since it can make you drowsy and dizzy already. Definitely talk to your doctor about it though - I'm just saying what I've heard. Sorry I can't say for sure.

I got prescribed it for my epilepsy, and it's been great. I had a few headaches, but that's about it. I’m just glad I can go to work every day and not worry about a seizure.

Do you guys know if you can drink alcohol while on Lamotrigine? I’ve been curious about this too.

Lamotrigine can be amazing for some, but it's a serious commitment. The side effects are no joke, and if you have any adverse reactions, don't mess around. Call your doctor right away even if you feel silly.

I've been on Lamotrigine for about 6 months now, and it's been a lifesaver. I was having major mood swings and it took a while to find a dosage that worked for me. I had a few issues with side effects, mainly dizziness and drowsiness, but they went away after a few weeks. I'm just glad to finally have my moods under control. Be patient with the titration process.
