I've been dealing with extremely dry and irritated skin for months now, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Collanex Powder 5g. It's an emollient that forms a protective layer on the skin to lock in moisture and prevent dryness, cracking, and irritation. Has anyone used this before? I'm really hoping it works, but I'm also a bit worried about the possible side effects, especially the severe allergic reactions. Any insights or personal experiences would be super helpful!

It's worth a shot, but if it doesn't work for you, there are other options out there. Just make sure to report any side effects to your doctor or the FDA.

If you're experiencing severe side effects, don't wait—seek medical help immediately. It's not worth risking your health over a skincare product.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a bad reaction the first time I used it. My skin got so irritated and it started to peel. Definitely talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

I think Collanex is way overrated. I found that simple petroleum jelly does the job just as well and is way cheaper.
