I started using Halcinonide 0.1% Cream yesterday. I was diagnosed with eczema a few months ago, and it's been driving me crazy. My dermatologist prescribed this steroid cream because it's strong and should help reduce the inflammation and itching. However, the side effects list is quite long and scary. I'm super worried about potential issues like skin thinning or Cushing's syndrome. Has anyone else used this cream? I'd love to hear about your experiences and how you managed any side effects. Also, any tips on how to use it effectively would be great!

I had to stop using Halcinonide because it made my skin super sensitive to the sun. I got a bad sunburn even though I was wearing sunscreen. Be careful out in the sun if you're using this cream.

I was shocked by the side effects too but I used to use this when I had a severe case of psoriasis. I found it made a huge difference, but I was careful to apply it only where it was needed. And I switched soon as things calmed down and my skin didn't change. I'd recommend using it as directed and monitoring your skin carefully.

I used this for a severe case of eczema and it was a game-changer. The redness and itching went down super fast, but it did dry out my skin a lot. I just used a gentle moisturizer afterward and it helped a ton.

One thing I noticed was that it's important to not overuse it. My doctor told me not to use it for more than 2 weeks at a time. My skin got really irritated when I used it for too long.
