Anyone tried Iodoqu-HC-aloe Poly 1/2/1% Gel 48g for fungal and bacterial skin infections?
I've been prescribed Iodoqu-HC-aloe Poly 1/2/1% Gel for a stubborn fungal infection on my foot. The gel contains Iodoquinol to fight the infection and Hydrocortisone to reduce redness and itching. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the rare but serious ones. Has anyone else used this? How did it work for you? Did you experience any side effects? Any tips on how to apply it effectively?

I used it for a yeast infection on my scalp and it was amazing. My scalp cleared up and the itching stopped almost immediately. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes; it stings like crazy.
I had a really bad reaction to this gel. Got hives all over and had to go to the ER. If you notice any signs of an allergic reaction, get to a doctor ASAP. It's not worth risking your health. Might be better to try a different treatment first.
I used this last year for a similar issue on my toe. It worked well, but I did have some minor skin irritation at first, so maybe ask your doctor to prescribe a gentle moisturizer as well.
I used it for a bacterial infection and it was a godsend. I had tried several things before this and nothing worked, but this stuff cleared it up in no time. No major side effects for me, just a bit of dryness that went away quickly.
I was worried about the side effects but I haven't had any issues. It's been a game-changer, but always consult your doc if you notice anything unusual.
This is tricky to use as I had to apply it sparingly. I'm a bit worried about the potential for skin thinning. I'll be careful with it. Has anyone else had that issue?
Be careful with this stuff, it can make you more sensitive to sunlight. Try to keep the area covered when you go outside.
I've had a great experience with this. But I have to say, the burning sensation was pretty intense at first. It might be a good idea to apply it before bed so you can rest through the worst of it.
I used it on my face for a stubborn infection, and it worked great. But watch out for the skin thinning side effect. I didn't realize how delicate my skin was until I started using it. Also, don’t forget to wash your hands thoroughly after applying; it’s easy to spread the infection without realizing it.
I found this to be really effective. I had a fungal infection that I couldn’t get rid of for months. It started to clear up within a week. Just make sure you follow the instructions to the letter, use a thin layer, and keep the area clean and dry.
