Anyone used Efudex 5% Cream for actinic keratoses? Share your experiences!
I've recently been prescribed Efudex 5% Cream to treat some actinic keratoses on my face. I've read about the potential side effects, and while I understand that it can be quite effective, I'm curious about real-life experiences. How did you handle the skin reactions? Did you notice any long-term benefits? I'm a bit nervous, so any advice or personal stories would be greatly appreciated. Also, did anyone notice any of the more serious side effects, or is it mostly just the typical skin irritation?

I had to quit because the side effects were too much to handle. Every time I used it my face looked like it was on fire. ;_;
I'm on my second week and it's brutal. My face is so swollen and red. I'm hoping it gets better soon. I just want to wear makeup, but I don't want to irritate it further. Any tips on concealing the redness?
It's normal to feel some burning. Just make sure to monitor any serious side effects. If it gets worse, definitely call your doctor.
I used a similar cream a couple of years ago and it was terrible. I had to stop after a week because of the severe skin reactions.
