I'm looking into getting eye surgery and my doctor prescribed Loteprednol 0.5% Opth Gel Drops 5gm for post-operative care. It's an eye gel containing a corticosteroid medicine used to reduce swelling, redness, and pain. I've heard it can be quite effective, but I'm also aware of the possible side effects. Has anyone here used this medication? How was your experience? Were the side effects manageable, or did you encounter any serious issues? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a little scared now. Can you take it with other eye meds? I'm already on drops for glaucoma.

Make sure to follow the instructions given by your doctor. Using it properly can make a huge difference. I had a friend who used it incorrectly and ended up with an infection. Don’t skip on the aftercare.

Seriously, if you experience any severe side effects, don't wait it out. Go straight to the ER. I had a friend who waited too long and ended up with permanent eye damage. Scary stuff.

I used it after my cataract surgery last year. It worked wonders for the swelling and pain. Only had minor side effects like slight irritation, but nothing too bad.

I've had a great experience with this. It's really helped with post-op inflammation, and the side effects were minimal. Seriously, if you take it as prescribed, it's usually fine. But don't forget to report any issues to your doctor.

I had a really bad experience with it. Got severe eye irritation and had to stop using it. My doctor switched me to something else, and it was fine after that. Be cautious if you have sensitive eyes!
