I recently had cataract surgery and my doctor prescribed Maxidex 0.1% Ophth Susp 5ml to reduce swelling and irritation. I've only used it for a few days, but I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. What was your experience like? Did you notice any significant side effects? How long did you use it? My eye is still a bit irritated, and I'm wondering if that's normal or if I should be concerned. Any advice on how to apply it effectively? I've been washing my hands before each use, but I'm not sure if there are any other best practices I should follow. Also, the bottle says to store it in the fridge, which is a bit inconvenient. Has anyone else had issues with storage? Thanks for sharing your insights!

I had a really bad reaction to Maxidex. I got hives all over my face and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER and they switched me to a different medication. Definitely something to be aware of.

I don't think that these eye drops are worth the side effects. I get irritated every time I use them. It's not worth it.

I used it for a few weeks after my surgery, and I didn't notice any issues with storage. Just keep it in the fridge when you're not using it, and don't freeze it! I also found that applying it in the morning was easier because I was more alert and less likely to make a mistake.

I used Maxidex after my Lasik surgery and it worked wonders for the swelling. Just make sure to keep your head tilted back when you apply it so it doesn't run out of your eye. I didn't have any major side effects, but I did have a bit of blurred vision for a few hours after each use. It's normal, so don't worry!

I had a great experience. My doctor said that this was the best option so I took it and had no issues at all.

Maxidex is strong stuff. I used it after my corneal transplant, and it really helped with the inflammation. But be careful—don't touch the tip of the dropper to anything, including your eye. It's a common mistake, and you'll contaminate the solution.

I had no idea that these drops were so strong. I used them for conjunctivitis and I had to stop using them because of the blurred vision.

You need to be careful with these, even though they work. I fell into my allergies because I was not cautious about them.
