I've been struggling with a persistent yeast infection and my doctor prescribed Nystatin/triamcinolone Cream. It's got two medicines in it: Nystatin to fight the fungal infection and Triamcinolone, a steroid, to reduce redness, swelling, and itching. I've heard mixed things about this cream. Anyone have experience with this? I'd love to hear about how it worked for you or if you had any weird side effects. The potential side effects are a bit scary and I am wondering if that's just a scare tactic. How long did you use it for? Did it work quickly? Is it as bad as some of the reviews I've read make it seem? Any feedback would be appreciated.

My doctor recommended it and it worked great. No issues at all. I would try it before running to more expensive or invasive options. I think some of these side effects are just exaggerated. Just follow the directions and be careful.

I've had good and bad experiences with this cream. It works great for infections but the side effects can be brutal. I would definitely recommend talking to your doctor about it first. I do not think it is worth the risk of getting stretch marks and skin thinning for a temporary fix. I would rather do something else.

I had a bad experience with this cream. I got a weird rash and it took a while to go away. I would not recommend it to anyone. Plus, the cost is way more expensive than other creams. I would stick to more natural remedies before trying this stuff out.

Be careful with the steroid component! I used it for a yeast infection and ended up with some nasty side effects. My skin thinned out and I got some stretch marks. Definitely not worth it for me! I would ask about another steroid-free cream or oral medication. I just do not think it is worth a risk of thinning skin.

I used it for a yeast infection and it worked great. No side effects at all. I think some people are just overly sensitive to this stuff. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I had to stop using it because of the burning sensation. It was awful. But for others, it might be fine. I just wanted to put a little bit of it around to test it first but I ended up getting a nice rash. I think my skin just does not like it. I might try it again if my doctor suggests it but I would rather not now.

I had a good experience with it. No major side effects, just a bit of itching at first. I had to use it for about 3 weeks but it cleared up the infection completely. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who asks. I did not get any of the 'rare' side effects some people are worried about.

I thought this was a miracle cream! Cleared up my infection in no time. I did notice some skin thinning but it went away after I stopped using it. I would recommend staying hydrated and moisturizing while using this stuff. I think a lot of the side effects are just because people do not take care of their skin while using it.

I had a terrible allergic reaction to this cream. Swelling and hives all over. Definitely not for me. I would suggest using a topical like Clotrimazole first and doing a spot test before using this stuff all over. I just had a tiny rash on a spot and it was a little intense for me.

I used this cream a few years ago for a bad case of athlete's foot. It worked wonders, but I did experience some dry skin. I used it for about 2 weeks. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully and stop if you have any reactions.
