I've been prescribed Triamcinolone 0.1% Ointment for my eczema and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this? What was your experience like? I've heard it can be really helpful, but I'm also worried about things like skin thinning and Cushing's syndrome. Any tips on how to minimize these risks would be greatly appreciated!

I'm also curious about how long it takes to see results. My doctor said it might take a few weeks, but I'm hoping for some quicker relief. How long did it take for you to notice an improvement?

I've read that it's important not to use too much, but the instructions can be a bit confusing. Did anyone find a good routine for application? How much should you really use?

I’ve been using it for a month now and I’ve had no issues so far. I just apply a thin layer after a shower and it’s helped keep my eczema under control. I’ve not seen any side effects yet.

I read somewhere that applying it to damp skin can help it absorb better. Has anyone tried this? Does it really make a difference?

I thought I had an allergic reaction to this stuff at first, but it turned out to be just a reaction to the ointment base. Switching to the cream version fixed it for me. Might be worth asking your doctor about switching formulations if you have issues.

Be really careful with this stuff. I overdid it and ended up with some nasty side effects. Good thing I caught it early, but yeah, don't mess around with steroids.

I had no idea steroids could cause Cushing’s syndrome. I’m glad I read this post. I’ll be sure to check for those symptoms. Thanks for the heads up!

I experienced some skin thinning and weird hair growth, but honestly, it was worth it to get rid of the itching for a while. Once my flare-up calmed down, I stopped using it. I’m just scared to use this again -- I wonder if I should ask my doctor about alternatives.

Be really careful if you have any open wounds or cuts. I accidentally got some on a cut and it stung like hell. Learned that the hard way.

This stuff worked wonders for my psoriasis. It cleared up in about 3 weeks. Just be careful not to overuse it, it can thin out your skin when you do.

I used it for a while and it helped with my eczema flare-ups. I always applied a thin layer mixed with some moisturiser. It helped alot with irritation and redness.

I used it for a bit but then my doctor switched me to a different steroid. I think it’s because Triamcinolone can cause a bit more skin thinning than some others. But it worked well for my eczema, and I had no side effects. Good luck to everyone trying it out!
