I've recently been prescribed Impavido 50mg Capsules for leishmaniasis, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The medication list is quite extensive, and I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience with it that could offer some insights. I'm particularly concerned about the urgent side effects like allergic reactions and severe skin reactions. More importantly, I'd like to know if anyone has experienced any long-term effects or if the medication has been effective in clearing the infection. Any advice on managing the side effects would be greatly appreciated!

I took this medication about a year ago and didn't have any serious side effects. I did feel pretty tired most of the time, but it was manageable. Just make sure you're drinking plenty of water and getting enough rest. It was a tough battle but totally worth it now that I am leishmia free!

Feeling a bit nauseated - but I am sure that will pass.

I've heard that some people have trouble with the testicular pain side effect. It might be worth talking to your doctor about any potential risks specific to your situation.

I had some really bad headaches while on Impavido, but they went away after a few weeks. Just hang in there and make sure you're managing the side effects as best you can. It's a tough road, but it gets better!

I was pretty worried about the severe skin reactions, but luckily, I didn't experience any. Make sure you follow your doctor's instructions closely and report anything unusual right away. It's better to err on the side of caution.

You're not alone! I struggled with the side effects too. I had some skin issues that were really uncomfortable, but my doctor managed them with some topical ointments. Just make sure you stay in touch with your healthcare provider so they can adjust your treatment if needed.

One thing that helped me was breaking the pills in half and having a few smaller doses throughout the day. It made the nausea a lot more manageable. Also, make sure you're taking it with food to minimize stomach issues.

Can anyone comment on the side effects just do not include this medication?
