Apidra U-100 Injection - Experiences, Tips, and Concerns
I've recently started using Apidra U-100 Injection 10ml to manage my type 1 diabetes. I'm curious to hear from others who use this fast-acting insulin. How quickly do you notice it working? Have you experienced any unusual side effects? I've heard it can cause low potassium levels and I'm a bit worried about that. Also, any tips on how to minimize injection site irritation would be greatly appreciated!

I switched to Apidra from another fast-acting insulin and I've noticed a big difference in how quickly it works. I've had some low blood sugar episodes, so I make sure to always have glucose tablets on hand.
I got a lump at my injection site once and it was terrifying. Turns out it was just a lipohypertrophy. My doctor said it's common with insulin injections. Just make sure to rotate your sites and keep an eye out for any unusual lumps or bumps.
I've had no issues with Apidra, but I did have a friend who had a severe reaction. They ended up switching to a different insulin. It's important to listen to your body and talk to your doctor if something doesn't feel right.
I've had some allergic reactions in the past with other insulins, but thankfully not with Apidra. Still, I always carry an EpiPen just in case. Safety first!
