I've been taking Aptiom 200mg for the past three months to manage my epilepsy. It's been a game-changer in keeping my seizures under control, but I've experienced some side effects that I want to share. At first, I had a lot of dizziness and fatigue, which was tough to deal with, but I found that taking the pill right before bed helped alleviate those symptoms. However, I've noticed some more concerning issues lately, like changes in my urine output and muscle weakness. I've heard that severe skin reactions are possible, so I’m keeping an eye out for any rash or blistering. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Are there any tips for managing these side effects?

Seems like everyone has different experiences with this. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for side effects.

I’ve been on Aptiom for a year now, and while it’s helped with my seizures, the dizziness was brutal at first. I had to stop driving for a while, which was tough since I live in a suburban area. Eventually, it cleared up, but I wish my doctor had warned me more about it. Also, I had some weird urine changes, so I went to get blood work done. It was all good, but it was scary at the time. I would suggest staying calm but stay vigilant.

I was on Aptiom and it didn't work for me. I had severe muscle weakness and it was hard to even get out of bed in the morning. I also noticed some sort of rash that was creeping up my arm. It was only a couple of weeks in, but the side effects were too much. I switched to another medication and it's been working well for me.

Maybe you’re having a bad batch of it. Can you talk with your doctor about switching to the generic version? I’ve found the generic works just as well and costs about 10% less. The only thing that I have to deal with is some dizziness, but I've learned to take it easy in the morning.
