Aquaphilic W/carbamide 10% Urea Cream: A Game Changer for Dry Skin? or too many side effects.
I've been struggling with incredibly dry and flaky skin on my hands and feet, and my dermatologist recommended Aquaphilic W/carbamide 10% urea cream. I've heard great things about it, but I'm also a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone else tried this cream? How did it work for you? Were the side effects manageable, or were they too much to handle?

I’ve read that you should never apply it to broken skin. Anyone know if that’s true? This is my only concern since I have a few small cuts on my hands.
I think it’s weird that urea creams can have such severe side effects. I’m going to stick to my regular moisturizer just to be safe.
I’ve always been cautious with topical creams, and this one didn’t disappoint. My skin is soft and hydrated, and I haven’t had any issues.
I had a crazy reaction to this cream – red, blistered skin! It was awful. I called my doctor, and they told me it was a rare allergic reaction. I had to stop using it immediately. That was super scary.
I tried Aquaphilic, and it worked wonders on my feet, but it did cause some burning and stinging for a few days. My dermatologist said it was normal and should go away. Stick it out, and it might be worth it!
I just tried it for the first time, and I love it. My skin feels so much softer. Just make sure you apply a good amount and give it time to absorb. Don't expect miracles overnight.
What’s the best way to apply this cream? I want to get the most out of it but don’t know if I should apply it every day or what?
I've been using Aquaphilic for a few weeks now, and it's been a lifesaver. My hands are finally smooth, and I don’t have to worry about constant itching.
My dermatologist recommended using it every night after a shower. I’ve been doing that for a month now, and I can see a huge difference. The key is to use it consistently and give it some time to work. If you have any spots that are very rough you might want to scrub it gently with a pumice stone before you use it, but BE CAREFUL!!! Remember, the best thing about this stuff is that it helps remove dead skin cells. Don’t over do it.
I was worried about the allergic reactions, but I haven’t experienced any. Just a little irritation at first, which went away after a couple of applications.
