I had a bad reaction to Aranesp. I started feeling dizzy and had a really bad headache, but it stopped when I stopped taking it. Make sure you talk to your doctor about any concerns. I was really worried when it started and it helped to have someone I could talk to and discuss the side effects with. I had a few injections and it took a while to know for sure it was the Aranesp. If there were bad side effects it would have been hard to say it wasn't.

I had no side effects at all. I was really worried because I read a lot of the side effects and the doctors explained them. I just took the Arensep as they explained and it was fine. If you've got questions just ask and don't be scared. Be sure to say it's the Aranesp.

I've had some trouble with the injections. It's a bit painful because it's a bigger needle. But it's not too bad, it's nothing compared to the benefits I've seen of Aranesp. It's easier to do when you lie down and the injection helps to be in a comfortable position. I'd recommend getting familiar with the injection process and maybe even practicing with a saline injection if you're nervous.
