I've been prescribed Aripiprazole ODT 15mg Tablets for my bipolar disorder and I'm finding this ODT form to be very convenient, no more swallowing pills with water. I'm curious to hear from anyone else who has tried this medication. What are your experiences? How long did it take for it to start working? Are the side effects manageable? I'd love to hear from long term users who have been on it for a while. I'm also curious about how it works and why it is used for so many conditions. Has anyone experienced the more serious side effects and what was the experience like? And how to handle them?

If you experience any severe side effects, like signs of an allergic reaction or neuroleptic malignant syndrome, seek medical help right away. Don’t wait it out. I’ve seen people get better much faster because they got to the hospital early. Let your doctor know about any side effects immediately, they can help you make a well-informed decision from there.

I switched to the ODT form because I hated swallowing pills. It dissolves so quickly and feels really good. The side effects I had were drowsiness, and weight gain. I've managed the side effects by eating healthier and exercising more. It's definitely worth trying if you're struggling with pills.

I have a friend who had some serious side effects with this medication even though he had done everything right. He experienced a severe allergic reaction. I believe he was also put on the wrong dosage and that's what caused the reaction. My biggest suggestion to everyone here who is considering or starting this medication is to please be extra vigilant. Be your own advocate.

I started Aripiprazole ODT a month ago and I'm already feeling more stable. I had some initial dizziness and fatigue, but my doctor assured me it's normal. I'm hoping it continues to work well for me. I have concerns though, I've heard horror stories about tardive dyskinesia. What are the chances that I will have to deal with it?

I've been on Aripiprazole for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer for my schizophrenia. The ODT form is really convenient, and I haven't experienced any major side effects. Just occasional dizziness, but it's manageable.

The ODT form is a lifesaver for me. I have trouble swallowing pills, so this makes it so much easier. I think I made a huge mistake those first few months. My side effects were severe after a few months. I'm not sure if my doctor overestimated my tolerance. I’m stronger now. I had a lot of muscle cramps and stiffness. It wasn’t fun. I had to put up with it for a year and I'm glad I did, it worked well. I was on Abilify before, but this seemed to work better for me especially for this constant change in moods.

I wish they had told me about weight gain before I started taking it. I've gained 20 pounds in the last six months. If anyone is starting out, keep an eye on your diet and exercise regularly.
