I have been using Arnuity Ellipta 100mcg Oral Inh 30 for my asthma for about six months now, and while it has helped manage my symptoms, I've experienced a few side effects that I didn't expect. Initially, I had some mild throat irritation, which was manageable, but I've since noticed some changes in my voice. I've read that this can sometimes happen with inhaled corticosteroids, but I'm not sure if it's something I should be concerned about. I've also had a bit of a cough when I first started using it. It has subsided, but I'm still a bit worried. Has anyone else on here experienced anything similar? It's important to note that I've been diligent about using my inhaler correctly, rinsing my mouth afterward, and keeping up with my regular check-ups. I'm just wondering if these side effects are normal or if I should be looking into alternatives with my doctor. I've also noticed a bit of fatigue, which could just be my body adjusting, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience. Thanks in advance for any insights or advice!

I used to have asthma and the first medication I was prescribed was Arnuity Ellipta 100mcg. I had similar issues with voice and throat irritation. I am fine now since on maintenance dosage. I am not sure if I would recommend this, but I feel like it's a great option for a lot of people.

I had a similar issue. I was experiencing some fatigue and tiredness as well. It turned out that I was doing the technique wrong. I was holding the inhaler and then inhaling deeply afterwards. Which means, the medicine was not getting properly into my lungs. Switching to a spacer did wondrous for me. I am much better now.

I've been on Arnuity Ellipta for a while and have experienced some throat irritation as well. The best advice I got was to always rinse your mouth with water after using the inhaler to minimize this issue. My doctor also suggested using a spacer to ensure the medicine gets to my lungs properly and not just sticking to my throat.

I've heard that some people experience changes in voice or throat irritation with Arnuity Ellipta, but it's not always the case. It's important to use the inhaler correctly and rinse your mouth afterward. But if the side effects are too bothersome, definitely talk to your doctor.

Side effects are common with all inhalers and the ones that you mentioned are quite common. I would suggest waiting for a few days. It may subside. If it doesn't, then consulting a doctor would be a good option.

I've had similar issues with fatigue. It might be worth discussing with your doctor if you're getting enough sleep and managing stress. Sometimes, adjusting your routine can make a big difference. But if it's persistent, you might want to explore alternatives.

I had a similar experience with my voice changing a bit. It turned out to be a temporary issue, but it's always good to keep an eye on it. If it persists, definitely talk to your doctor. They might adjust your dosage or switch you to a different medication. As for the dry throat, try drinking plenty of fluids and avoiding caffeine and alcohol, which can exacerbate the issue. Also, using a humidifier at night can help.

Always consult a medical professional regarding your health. Everyone is different and what might work for you might not work for others. For me, the rescued inhaler always worked for me and I was good. Missing a dose and skipping it led to a lot of trouble for me.

Just wanted to chime in and say that it's really important to use inhalers correctly, especially corticosteroids. If you're not using it right, you might not be getting the full benefit and could be experiencing more side effects.

You might be experiencing the side effects of the Fluticasone in the Arnuity. Fluticasone is a corticosteroid, a class of drugs known to cause mild to severe side effects. I would suggest seeing a specialist regarding this. A good doctor can adjust your dose accordingly.
