I've been taking Asenapine Maleate 10mg sublingual tablets for about six months now to manage my bipolar disorder. Initially, I was hesitant because of the potential side effects, but my psychiatrist assured me that it's generally well-tolerated. The instructions are straightforward: place the tablet under your tongue and let it dissolve. It's a bit of an adjustment not to eat or drink for 10 minutes afterward, but it's manageable. I've had some side effects like dizziness and drowsiness, but they've been mild and manageable. I've also noticed that my appetite has increased, which is a bit concerning, but overall, I feel like it's helping with my symptoms. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken Asenapine. What have your experiences been like? Any tips for managing the side effects? I've heard the sublingual form can be more effective, but any drawbacks?

Just a heads up, the sublingual form can be tricky if you're not used to it. It dissolves quickly, but if you have a sensitive mouth, be prepared for some tingling. I had to adjust to the taste a bit, but it's fine now. I also recommend taking it before bed if drowsiness is a problem.

If you're considering Asenapine, make sure to talk to your doctor about the potential for weight gain and metabolic changes. It's a serious issue that can have long-term health implications.

I've taken Asenapine and it’s been effective but it’s causing me weight gain. I'm now trying to eat healthier and exercise.

I went through a month of taking Asenapine, and I suffered from fatigue and loss of strength. It took me a while to get used to it, but I ended up quitting because of the side effects. I highly suggest consulting your doctor before taking this medication.

I find the medication helps a lot, but it can be a bit tough if you have a condition that makes it difficult to avoid eating or drinking for 10 minutes.
