I've been using Asmanex HFA 200mcg Oral Inh (120) for a few months now, and while it has helped control my asthma, I've started experiencing some concerning side effects. I've had a persistent headache and irritation in my nose and throat, which is making it difficult to enjoy life. I've also had some chest irritation ever since using it. I've read the possible side effects list, and it seems like these symptoms are mentioned. I've read that I might have a weak adrenal gland if I have these symptoms, but I feel unsure. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Should I be worried about the side effects I've been having? Are these common or should I switch to another medication? I've been trying to tough it out but I'm starting to think I need to go to the doctor. I'm hoping to hear from people who are familiar with this medication and can provide some insight. This is really starting to get to me and want to know if others have similar issues. Should I just switch to a different medicine? I just don't know what to do.

I had a similar experience. I had chest tightness when I first started using Asmanex. I called my doctor, and they said it could be because I wasn't using the inhaler correctly. They showed me the right technique, and it cleared up. Maybe check with your doctor again.

You might want to keep a symptom diary and track when you take your Asmanex and when your side effects appear. This could help your doctor determine if the medication is causing your issues. You can also talk to a pharmacist. They are specially trained to help deal with these issues.

I had some issues with Asmanex and thought they were just a side effect but it turned out that I was also taking my allergy medicine and the combination was making my symptoms worse. It might be worth talking to your doctor about other medications you are taking.

I've been on Asmanex for a while now and I've had some similar issues. I found that using a spacer with my inhaler helped a lot with the throat irritation. It might be worth a try if you're not already using one.

I had horrible throat irritation and a sore throat when I first started using Asmanex. I switched to a different inhaler, and it cleared up. I think you might want to consult your doctor about that.

I've had some flu-like symptoms and that's what scared me. I was worried my asthma was getting worse, but my doctor said it was just a side effect. It did go away after a week. I hope that doesn’t happen to you.

Have you tried rinsing your mouth after using the inhaler? It can help with throat irritation. I also use a spacer, and that makes a big difference. It might be worth a try.

I switched to Asmanex from another asthma controller and I also experienced headaches and throat irritation. The irritation went away after a few weeks, but the headaches are still here. My doctor said it could be due to the medication, but if it doesn’t go away, you should definitely discuss with the doctor.
