I wish I could say Atacand worked for me, but it made me feel so terrible that I had to stop. I’m still searching for the right med. Hopefully, someone reading this finds a good solution.
I’ve been on Atacand for a few months and it’s worked great for my blood pressure. I had some flu-like symptoms at first, but they went away pretty quickly. Definitely worth it for the blood pressure control.
I had a terrible reaction to Atacand, ended up with severe swelling and couldn't breathe. Had to go to the ER. Not worth the risk for me, but everyone is different.
I had a minor skin rash but went to my doctor who said it was pretty common. It went away after a week, so don’t worry too much. Just make sure to keep an eye on it.
I found that taking Atacand with food helped a lot with the dizziness. Might be worth a try if you're struggling with that side effect.
