I was recently prescribed Atomoxetine 10mg Capsules for my ADHD. Unlike stimulant medications, Atomoxetine works by increasing norepinephrine in the brain, which helps with attention and concentration. I've been on it for about a month now and have noticed some improvements in my focus and impulsivity. However, I've also had a few side effects, mostly constipation and trouble sleeping. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences with Atomoxetine and what strategies they've found helpful for managing these side effects.

I'm also interested in hearing from anyone who has switched from stimulant medications to Atomoxetine. How was the transition? Did you experience any significant changes in your symptoms or side effects?

Additionally, I'm a bit concerned about the serious side effects listed, like liver problems and high blood pressure. Should I be monitoring anything specific?

I've been on Atomoxetine for a couple of years now, and it's been a game-changer for my ADHD. I had a few side effects at the beginning like constipation and dry mouth, but they went away after a while. I find that staying hydrated and eating a lot of fiber helps with the constipation. Good luck with your treatment!

I switched from Adderall to Atomoxetine and noticed a big difference. The impulsivity and hyperactivity calmed down a lot, though if you have a history of heart problems this may not be the best fit for you. It's worth considering too.

Have you guys noticed any changes in your mood? I felt a bit more irritable when I first started taking it, but it might have been a coincidence.

Just trying it out, what were my doctor's instructions and how different was it from what I've been on?

Just a heads up, Atomoxetine can interfere with other medications, especially ones for high blood pressure. If you're on other meds, make sure to talk to your doctor first, even if you think they are unrelated.

I’ve been on Atomoxetine for six weeks and it's been great. I’ve noticed some improvement in my focus, and the side effects have been manageable. I've had a bit of stomach upset, but staying hydrated helps. My doctor also warned me about the potential for sexual side effects, but so far, I haven’t experienced any. This said, I feel a bit more tired than usual and was wondering if any of you had the same experience?

I had a weird side effect where I felt really dizzy and sleepy at first. It got better after a few weeks, though. Stick with it and I recommend talking to your doctor about it, but be patient.

I had trouble with the sudden weight loss that some people experience. I felt weak and tired all the time. When I stopped taking Atomoxetine, everything got better, but my ADHD symptoms came back too.

Has anyone else had liver issues? My friend had to switch meds because his liver enzymes were elevated. That's one of the side effects that's scary to me.

A tip from a friend who's a nurse: if you experience a painful erection, go to the ER. That sounds scary to me, anyway.
