I've recently started taking Atovaquone 750mg/5ml Suspension to treat a lung infection. The medication seems to be working, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else used this medication? What were your experiences? I want to be prepared for any issues that might come up. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I've heard that some people experience depression while on this medication. If you notice any changes in your mood, talk to your doctor immediately. It's better to be proactive.

I started Atovaquone and had a rash and itching. Turns out I was allergic to one of the inactive ingredients. Doctor switched me to something else and I'm doing fine now. Always good to keep an eye out for unusual reactions.

I'm on Atovaquone now for malaria prevention and it's been okay so far. Just started last week, so fingers crossed! Stay positive everyone! You got this!

I was on Atovaquone for a few months and experienced some mild side effects like headaches and trouble sleeping. Nothing too severe, but it was enough to make me want to finish the treatment quickly. Stay hydrated and listen to your body.

I had a really rough time with Atovaquone. The diarrhea was intense and I had to manage it with lots of electrolytes and rest. It was tough, but I got through it. Keep your doctor in the loop— they can help with managing side effects.

I took this for malaria prevention while traveling and it worked great. No side effects for me, but I was really cautious and drank tons of water.

This stuff is a godsend. I’ve had PCP twice and Atovaquone has been a game-changer. Just make sure to take it as prescribed and keep an eye on side effects. It’s saved me from some serious issues.
