I was prescribed Augmentin XR 1000mg/62.5mg Tablets for a sinus infection and I'm curious to know if anyone else has taken this medication. How did it work for you? I've heard it can cause some serious side effects, and I'm a bit nervous. What were your experiences with side effects, and how did you handle them? Additionally, I'm wondering if the extended-release formulation makes a noticeable difference in how often you need to take it compared to other antibiotics. Any insights or anecdotes would be greatly appreciated!

I was prescribed Augmentin XR for a sinus infection as well. It worked really well for me, but I did experience some mild diarrhea and upset stomach. nothing too bad. I just made sure to stay hydrated and it eventually went away.

I'm on day 3 of Augmentin XR and so far, so good. No side effects yet, just hoping it continues this way. I got it for a pneumonia infection and I need this to work so my lungs can heal.

I had a really bad reaction to Augmentin XR. I started vomiting within a few hours of taking it, and then I got severe diarrhea. I had to go to the ER because I was so dehydrated. I had a friend who had similar issues, so I believe these reactions may be more common than people think.

I had a bad experience with Augmentin, not sure if it was the same formulation. I had a horrible rash and I was really sick from it. I'd recommend discussing with your doctor if you can switch to a different antibiotic, especially if you are having severe side effects.

I found the extended-release formulation to be a game-changer. I only had to take it twice a day instead of multiple times like other antibiotics. Plus, I didn't experience any side effects. Overall, it was a positive experience for me.

Be careful with this stuff. I read that it can cause some serious skin reactions. If you notice any weird stuff happening with your skin, get to a doctor ASAP.
