I had an allergic reaction to Avelox last year, so I can’t take it anymore. It’s frustrating because it was working well for me. I'm on a different antibiotic now.

I had a bad case of C. diff after taking Avelox. It was miserable. Now I'm always super-dehydrated and fighting nausea. Had to change my diet entirely to manage the side effects.

I've had several bouts of antibiotic-associated diarrhea, but I couldn't get Avelox to work. Newer antibiotics are also on the market, so talk to your doctor about options.

I had a stomach upset when I took Avelox but my doctor told me it was common among antibiotics. I finished the course and never got any serious side effects. Everyone is different, but I'd make sure you eat a balanced diet and take probiotics while on antibiotics. It helped!
I took Avelox for a skin infection and had some mild side effects but nothing life-threatening. I always take my medication in the morning and I stayed hydrated. Maybe it helped?
