I was prescribed Azor 5-40mg Tablets to manage my high blood pressure. The combination of amlodipine and olmesartan has done a great job of lowering my blood pressure, but I've been experiencing some side effects that have me concerned. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'm curious to know if others have had similar experiences or if there are any tips for managing them. I'm particularly worried about the severe ones listed. Has anyone else dealt with any of these? Or maybe this drug is actually a lifesaver? Either way, I'd love to hear from you all.

I've been on Azor for a few months now and haven't had any severe side effects, but I did experience some dizziness and flushing at first. It went away after a couple of weeks. I'd recommend sticking with it if you can, but definitely talk to your doctor if the side effects are too much to handle.

I was worried too, but my doctor assured me that the side effects are rare and that the benefits of controlling my blood pressure far outweigh the risks. I trust my doctor and I'm sticking with it.

I switched to Azor from another medication and it's been a game-changer. My blood pressure is finally under control and I haven't had any major side effects. I did have some headaches at first, but they went away after a couple of weeks and a talk with my doctor. Fingers crossed for you.

Make sure you don't take this with grapefruit juice - it can interact badly. Just a heads up.

I've had persistent diarrhea - is that normal? Sorry, I've never experienced diarrhea for that long - the FDA link you added is really helpful, thanks.

I've been on Azor for 6 months and haven't had any side effects at all. I've had lower blood pressure and not a single issue. It's been a breeze. I even had to lower my dose when I was on vacation. So this drug is definitely worth it.

I had a really bad reaction to Azor. I started experiencing severe diarrhea and ended up in the ER. Turns out it was a pretty rare side effect, but it was scary. Lost a lot of weight too. Definitely not worth the risk for me. Maybe talk to your doctor about switching meds?

I've been on Azor for a year now and I haven't felt better. My blood pressure is perfect, no dizziness or flushing issues and I can't complain about the weight loss. Seriously, if you're having any issues I'd recommend talking to your doctor about it

I had a similar experience to the first comment. Had some initial dizziness but it went away. As for the more severe side effects, I think it's important to remember those are rare. My doctor told me that it's crucial to stay on the medication if it's working for me, but to be aware of the signs and symptoms of any severe side effects.

I'm surprised there aren't more people talking about the cost. This stuff is insanely expensive. If anyone has any advice on that front let me know. I am sure the high cost for name brand prescription will be recouped in the long term by not having a heart attack.
