I've been taking Azurette Tablets 28s for about 6 months now, and while I love the convenience of not having to worry about periods, I've experienced some side effects that have me a bit concerned. For the first two months, I had some mild issues like headaches and stomach cramps, but I've recently started having severe mood changes and really bad migraines. I've looked up the side effects and it seems like this is pretty common. Has anyone else experienced something similar, and if so, what did your doctor recommend? Has anyone had any success with alternative birth control methods? My doctor is a bit dismissive, and said these side effects will go away. I am considering switching to a different brand, but I am worried about the effects of stopping the medication suddenly. I would appreciate some advice from women who have gone through something similar.

I had a similar experience with Azurette and it took about a year for my body to adjust. I recommend sticking it out for a bit longer, but definitely talk to your doctor about the migraines. There are other options if the side effects persist.

Side effects are awful, I know. I switch between two different brands to give myself a break. It's not ideal, but it helps. Maybe trying different brands in two phases could help you

Migraines are no joke. My doctor prescribed a low-dose aspirin regimen to help with the headaches, and it's made a world of difference. Talk to your doctor about this—it might help while your body adjusts.

As someone who has struggled with similar side effects, I switched to a different brand and it made a huge difference. My doctor suggested going off birth control entirely until I got some bloodwork done, but that's not an option for everyone. I'd suggest speaking to a different doctor if yours isn't taking your concerns seriously.

I've had really bad spotting and bleeding between cycles since I started taking Azurette. My doctor said it's common, but it's annoying and inconvenient. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I switched from Azurette to a progesterone-only pill and it was a game-changer. No more mood swings or migraines, and it's actually easier to take because you don't have to worry about the placebos. But, everyone is different.
